Pastor Jeff wants to thank everyone for their care and prayers at the passing of his mother Anne McDowell in Wyoming. He thanks God he was with her last week and had some great conversations with her and holy moments in prayer. A summer burial is being planned in Cazenovia.

We

try to send cards from the congregation for Sympathy, thinking of you, or get

well. Please take a moment to stop in the Narthex and sign the cards either

before or after the service.

Youth Work Camp: We are almost ready to pack but have run into a small problem. Two people have had to cancel out and now we are in need one adult and one youth to attend Group Workcamp in Woodbridge, VA. We have raised more than enough money, so there would be no cost to attend aside from personal expenses. If we do not fill these two spots, we will not be able to attend the Workcamp and will lose

the funds already collected. The mission trip is scheduled for June 28–July 3, 2026. If you are interested, contact the Church Office (607)739-1943. Please prayerfully consider this opportunity.

The Ladies of Oakwood United Methodist are hosting a program on May 13, at 12 noon entitled "How to Avoid Being Scammed". Everyone is

welcome to attend. The program is free and will be held at Oakwood UMC in the Delorme Room.

Senior Adult Ministry (SAM) is hosting a talk by Patrick Roth from Roth Elder Law on May 13 at 6 pm in the Fellowship Hall. Mr. Roth’s talk will be on Protecting What Matters Most. He will talk on Understanding the difference between will and trusts, learn how to avoid probate and simplify things for your family, explore planning strategies to help protect your home and savings from nursing home costs, and learn what steps to take now with long-term care costs often exceeding $20,000/month. Hope you can join us.

Playground Workday: Please come to the church playground to help spread mulch on May 16th. Rain date will be the 23rd. Please bring a garden rake, gloves, and a shovel if you have one. We’ll meet at 9 AM to get started. Many hands make light work! Questions see Bob Aiello.

Dear friends, our church needs to update our church directory. We need your help with two very important things. Review

your contact information and send any corrections to the church office within the next week. If you wish a picture to accompany your information, take a selfie OR have someone take a photo at our church Photo Booth with their cell phone and send it to: office@horseheadsumc.org. If we do not hear from you soon, someone will be contacting you. Blessings, Louise McIntosh
