 Next Sunday, May 31st is Peace with Justice Sunday. This one day, we come together to support ministries that work for peace and fairness around the world. It’s a day when the church speaks out against violence and inequality and renews its commitment to be peacemakers—just as Jesus taught. 

Needed Communion servers: Please call the church office if you would like to help serve communion during the service. Liturgists: If you would like to be a liturgist, please let JoAnn Hunt know or call the church office. 

Youth Work Camp: We are almost ready to pack but have run into a small problem. Two people have had to cancel out and now we are in need one adult and one youth to attend Group Workcamp in Woodbridge, VA. We have raised more than enough money, so there would be no cost to attend aside from personal expenses. If we do not fill these two spots, we will not be able to attend the Workcamp and will lose

the funds already collected. The mission trip is scheduled for June 28–July 3, 2026. If you are interested, contact the Church Office (607)739-1943. Please prayerfully consider this opportunity.

Outreach: A soldier stands watch in the family photo area, representing our support for veterans. Please donate large

or XL T-shirts (no logos), larger-size underwear, and K-cups (coffee, tea, hot chocolate). Please place your donations in the trunk in the Narthex. They gave for us—let’s give back.

The quilt in the narthex has been donated to the church for a silent auction with an end date May 31st. The proceeds go for the repair of the church roof. Questions, please see Sid Spencer.

Dear friends, our church needs to update our church directory. We need your help with two very important things. Review

your contact information and send any corrections to the church office within the next week. If you wish a picture to accompany your information, take a selfie OR have someone take a photo at our church Photo Booth with their cell phone and send it to: office@horseheadsumc.org. Announcement deadline: Please have any announcements you wish to have in the bulletin, to the church office

by Tuesday morning. Everything collected by then will be sent out to Gayle for the bulletin so it may be printed before the Pastor’s Day off.

Did your doctor suggest you stretch more? Join us every Wednesday at 10:00 AM for

easy, gentle stretching exercises through Tai Chi! In just 20–30 minutes, you

can improve flexibility, reduce stiffness, and leave feeling refreshed and

energized. Beginners are always welcome! Call the church office for details or

Our Outreach committee is looking for 2 people to join Bob and Teri Hauptman to volunteer at the Horseheads Food Pantry on June 2nd

from 9 until? There is a sign up sheet in the Narthex (entrance way).
